Katelyn is a compassionate psychologist with over twelve years of experience in mental health. She has dedicated her career to providing psychological support to adolescents, adults, and workplace organisations, employing a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
Specialising in areas such as single-event and complex trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and relationship issues, Katelyn creates a therapeutic space where clients feel safe, heard, and respected.
Katelyn holds a Bachelor of Psychology with First Class Honours from the University of the Sunshine Coast, where she was recognized as the Australian Psychological Society’s Honours Student of the Year for her outstanding achievements in research and academics. She further enhanced her expertise with a Master of Professional Psychology from the Australian Catholic University.
As a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a Board-approved supervisor, Katelyn is committed to providing high-quality support. She is also an active and proud member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi).
Therapeutic approach
Katelyn adopts a client-centered approach to therapy, utilising several evidence-based treatments tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. She is proficient in a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Critical Incidents
Katelyn has also had thorough experience providing her community support to various critical incidents within workplaces. A critical incident refers to any event that profoundly impacts individuals involved or the wider community, often in a traumatic manner. These events are marked by their unexpected nature, intensity, and the need for prompt intervention. In psychological terms, critical incidents are linked to situations that can lead to psychological trauma or stress, making mental health support essential for coping and recovery.
Examples of Critical Incidents:
- Unexpected fatalities (due to accidents, suicides, or homicides)
- Serious accidents resulting in significant injury or loss of life
- Severe verbal or psychological abuse
- Physical violence, sexual violence, substance abuse issues or religious discrimination
- Natural catastrophes
Critical incidents require a thoughtful and structured management approach, which includes psychological support and intervention strategies to minimize negative effects on mental health. The primary aim is to restore feelings of safety, stability, and overall well-being for those impacted.

With several years of experience providing workplace support, she offers tailored strategies and interventions that address both the immediate and long-term mental health needs of employees.

Pricing & Rebates
Initial Intake Fee - This session is required for all new clients
$280 for 50-60 minutes
Follow-up Session - This session is required for returning clients
$250 for 50-60 minutes

Medicare Rebates & Mental Health Care Plans (MHCP)
Clients who are referred by their GP under a Mental Health Care Plan or who are referred by their Psychiatrist or Paediatrician can access Medicare rebates for 10 individual psychology sessions per calendar year. Medicare rebates are $96.65 per session.
Private Health Insurance
You will need to check with your private health insurance to see if they cover Psychology sessions. Dependent on the level of cover you have for private health, you may be eligible to claim rebates on your sessions from your provider. We cannot provide private health insurance rebates, however, you can do so after your session with your insurer.
Katelyn also accepts referrals from Work Cover, DVA and Priority One. Please note that there is a 48 hour notice if you wish to cancel or reschedule your sessions, or a cancellation of $100.00 will be charged.
